Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg runs into cash problems on honeymoon
When in Rome, on last monday billionaire Mark Zuckerberg spent only €32 on lunch with his wife and left no tip. Perhaps facebook's plunging share value may have put a dent in his fortune. Shares(NASDAQ) in the company on May 18, fell 10 per cent to an all-time low of $28.65 on Tuesday, what has been hailed as the most disastrous start to trading of any major flotation in the last decade.

Eden Hazard signing contract with Chelsea FC
Shocking News! Eden Hazard will sign contract with Chelsea FC. Eden Hazard is a Belgian player, who has been in dazzling form in France this season. Now his 3 year contract with Lille has expired. So its time for new one. He is willing to play in English Football. Almost every team in English football wished to have him in their team. Title race in english football has elevated, as Manchester City won the English Premier League this season marking an end to the long domination of Manchester United in english premier league. Chelsea FC is now the champions of europe. They won UEFA Champions League this season against Bayern Munich. They are also preparing a come back in Premier league. Next season of English premier league will be more exciting than ever. Increased competition among clubs have resulted in higher bids for players like Eden Hazard.
First, he tweeted that he like to play in english football. Next he tweeted he like "blue", he like to wear blue. But one thing, Chelsea and Manchester City are both blue. Then i thought he would probably join Manchester City FC, as they are rich and their team owners don't bother about money. They just simply buy all the super stars for their team. Both Chelsea FC and Manchester City FC team owners are rich but Manchester City are much ahead than Chelsea in english football bid race.
But today Hazard shocked everyone by tweeting "I'm signing for the champion's league winner". As Drogba is goin out of chelsea and senior players like Lampard reaching their mid 30s Chelsea need some young talents as soon as possible. I think arrival of Hazard to Chelsea will satisfy this need. Next season of English Premier League will be more exciting than ever. Am waiting for it.......

Golden Gate Bridge site at 1891
golden gate bridge site at 1891 |
Golden Gate Bridge site long long before the bridge was constructed..... around 1891. Boat service or a long drive around were the only way to cross the Sanfrancisco bay, CA at that time. Construction of Golden Gate Bridge solved this problem. The structure links the city of San Francisco, on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula, to Marin County.
Happy Anniversary Golden Gate Bridge
The big orange beauty, Golden Gate Bridge(San Francisco, CA) turns 75 today....... There was a time when the only way of crossing the bay was either by boat or a long journey over land. This bridge marked an end to such problems...... Just think of it, construction of such a huge bridge at that time...... hooooo.....its an iconic one....... I think its the most photographed bridge in the world. Do you agree with me?

Parent's job loss has 'significant' impact on child's exam results
A study led by a University of Bristol academic found that a child’s educational achievements can be harmed when a father loses his job. Using British Cohort Study data, Professor Paul Gregg studied job losses during the 1980s recession to assess the impact of unemployment on children’s academic performance. The research found that children whose fathers lost their jobs during the 1980s recession obtained an average of half a GCSE or O-level grade less than children whose fathers remained in employment. Professor Gregg also found there was a “small negative effect” on the early employment experiences of people whose fathers had lost their jobs. Professor Gregg said: “At a time of rising unemployment the impact of job loss during a recession on the outcomes of the next generation is highly topical.
BBC presenter arrested by Zimbabwe police
A BBC classical music presenter has been arrested by Zibabwe Police and detained in Zimbabwe after giving a poetry reading before hundreds of schoolchildren at a cultural fest
Petroc Trelawny, 42, a regular presenter on Radio 3, was near the end of a performance at the Bulawayo Music Festival on Thursday when he was led off the stage by immigration officials, who said he did not have the necessary work permit. While being held in a crowded police cell he slipped and fell, dislocating his shoulder which required an operation to reset it. On Saturday he was recovering in hospital in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second city, but remained in official custody and was expected to face a court appearance on Monday.
Mr Trelawny is best known for presenting classical magazine programme Music Matters, Radio 3's evening topical drive-time show In Tune and Radio 3 Live in Concert. He has been to Zimbabwe several times before and has written critically about Mr Mugabe, its ageing and autocratic ruler. Rose Benton, co-ordinator of Zimbabwe Vigil, a human rights group, who learned of his arrest from relatives living in the country, said: "He was apparently the only musician without a work permit and that is why they arrested him," she said. "He has been in police custody in Harare: a pretty nasty business. "Yesterday there was a public holiday. Normally it would take a day to get him out but he will be in until Monday probably."

Fox News viewers worst-informed, study finds
fox news viewers are less informed even than those who watch other programmes or even no tv new at all, researche has found |
The study, which surveyed 1,185 people, found that in comparison, those who listened to National Public Radio fared best, answering 1.51 questions correctly, while those watching The Daily Show, which mixes current affairs with humour, scored 1.42. "These differences may be small, but even small differences are important when we're talking about millions of people," said Dan Cassino, political scientist and poll analyst. "We expect that watching the news should help people learn, but the most popular of the national media sources – Fox, CNN, MSNBC – seem to be the least informative."
Fox News responded by focusing on Fairleigh Dickinson's academic record – Forbes ranked it 585 out of 650 US colleges. "Considering FDU's undergraduate school is ranked as one of the worst in the country," a Fox News spokesman said, "we suggest the school invest in improving its weak academic program instead of spending money on frivolous polling – their student body does not deserve to be so ill-informed."
